Russian Sage Blossom

Designed with compassion and determination

My name is Ksenya, and just like you,

my world is multifaceted.

I currently live with my loving life partner, in the gorgeous village of La Veta, located in Southern Colorado. I graduated in 2016 from the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism in Boulder, and since then, have been cultivating my own personal practice, Russian Sage, where I employ my skills as a clinical herbalist, nutritionist, and flower essence practitioner.

Outside of my formal herbal education, I’ve lived the life of an adventurer and experiencer, with my ancestral roots diving deep into Russia, Siberia, and the Volga region. I’ve traveled from the Kuril Islands of the Far East to Ukraine, and from the White Sea of the Arctic to the deliciousness of the Crimean Black Sea. I owe this traveling gene to my father, who loved our immensely complex Mother Russia so dearly…

Nature was my sanctuary while I was growing up, and I can still remember the smell of bamboo leaves mixed with the salt of the Pacific waves on the Island of Kunashir where I learned to swim. I fell in love with the junipers and pine trees on the slopes of Balaklava near Sevastopol in Crimea. The magnitude of such natural influences, together with the richness of my travels, have gradually melded together resulting in my desire to share my knowledge through my work.

I attended the State University in Voronezh, Russia, where I studied geography and ecology as part of my higher education. After graduation, I continued my studies at the Institute of the Biology of the Southern Seas, within the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. I learned much about the local coastal ecosystems, mountains, beaches, and forests, all found on the unique steps of the Crimean Peninsula.

My guiding stars had brought me to the United States in 1996 where I became a permanent resident, and two years later I was gifted with my beautiful son Misha. From there I traveled to Panama, China, and Nepal, where I worked as a teacher, interpreter, manager, and healthcare assistant, to name a few. My life’s journey keeps encouraging me to find my own truth, and that search has been about congruence and wholeness, and about finding fulfillment in connecting with life’s flow, and spirit’s calling. To my deepest understanding, spiritual quest and life’s work are inseparable, and I have found my present calling as a healer to be a result of my personal striving for authenticity and connection. I feel a great sense of purpose in helping to create a world of Beings living Well!

Growing up in Russia and traveling around the globe have each taught me much about the wisdom of how nature and culture cross in an amazingly sufficient way to sustain life force in a gentle manner. For example, as a kid I knew that applying the leaf of the plantain to my scratched knee would heal the wound, or a tincture of Valerian or Motherwort in almost every woman's purse would help her to deal with the stresses of work and daily life. I also remember that my Mother used to apply raw cabbage leaf to her forehead when she had migraine headaches, and when my sister and I had colds and coughs, we routinely received cupping, and mustard applications on our backs. With these and many more folk remedies around the world, I keep returning to the truth that Nature Heals.

I find that well-being is another of my guiding stars, and I notice that I strive to be around other people with a similar inclination. We came here to this life to remember the essence of who we are, knowing that we are all participating in the joys of sharing our gifts, however individually wrapped they are.

I understand we are all constantly evolving and I notice that for me personally, how much I enjoy experimenting with the various recipes of life, and more specifically, food and medicine. I am however, consistent in my compassion to support and share my findings along the way. There has been so much knowledge given to us by those who came before, and it is up to our unique interpretation, utilization, and further exploration of this knowledge that makes us individuals and potentially brings about a further expansion of the “familial” contribution.

The ideal of well-being is not just having a healthy body, but having a true and joyful sense of our given birthright of being and feeling well…….and it is ultimately our own responsibility and reciprocal gift back to the creator…to maintain it.

If you choose to engage my services, I believe you will gain a clear direction towards feeling better in your body, and in your whole being. Also, you’ll find an invitation to cultivate a new relationship to food, as well as the opportunity to recognize how your personal choices affect your own vital force.
